Bible verse: Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised . Hebrews 10:23
LIFE POINT:
Many believers love God, yet still walk in discouragement, fear, and quiet defeat. We pray, but worry. We believe, but doubt the outcome. We confess victory, but expect loss.
Why?
Because we sometimes measure life by our weakness instead of God’s faithfulness.
The truth is this, Our confidence is not built on our performance, but on God’s unchanging character. When we understand how faithful God is, we stop walking in defeat and start walking in bold assurance.
God’s Faithfulness Is Rooted in His Character.
God is not a man, that he should lie. Numbers 23:19
God does not change His mind based on moods. He does not forget His promises. He does not abandon His Word.
Lamentations 3:22–23 declares “Great is thy faithfulness.”
Even when Israel failed, God remained faithful. Even when we stumble, He remains steady.
Our confidence grows when we realize, God’s promises are not fragile, God’s Word does not expire, God’s covenant is not conditional on our perfection.
You may feel weak, but God is faithful. You may feel delayed, but God is faithful.
You may feel attacked, but God is faithful.
Faithfulness in the Past Produces Confidence for the Future.
When David faced Goliath he did not speak fear. He remembered, the Lord that delivered him out of the paw of the lion and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver him out of the hand of this Philistine.
Past faithfulness gave him present confidence.
Defeat says what if I fail?
Faith says God has never failed me.
When you remember, the doors God already opened, the prayers He already answered, the battles He already brought you through, you stop walking in intimidation and start walking in expectation.
God’s Faithfulness Removes the Spirit of Defeat.
Defeat is not always about losing. Sometimes it is about thinking like you’ve already lost.
2Timothy 1:7 says “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Fear focuses on obstacles.
Faith focuses on God’s reliability.
1 Corinthians 15:57 declares. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Notice it says giveth present tense. Victory is not something we chase. It is something granted because God is faithful.
We do not fight for victory.
We fight from victory.
Child of God ! Confidence Comes from Knowing God.
God’s faithfulness gives us confidence. Not because we are strong, not because life is easy, not because the battle is small. But because He is faithful.
Walk in that confidence, Pray in that confidence and Live in that confidence.
And refuse to walk in defeat ever again.
PRAYER:
My Lord and My God I receive Your Resurrection and Transfiguration Power to walk in Confidence with You in Jesus Mighty name Amen!
