Bible verse : Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. 2 Corinthians 2:11
LIFE POINT:
The devil does not succeed through power alone, but through strategy, deception, and subtle traps. His snares are often effective not because they are loud, but because they are familiar, appealing, and unguarded. Scripture warns us that ignorance of his schemes gives him advantage. The devil’s first and most successful tool is deception, making evil look harmless and sin look reasonable. Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field
Genesis 3:1. No wonder for Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 2Corinthians 11:14
Child of God the lesson we must learn is that what looks good is not always God. The power of discernment is a defense against deception.
The Snare of Pride opens the door for downfall. When people depend on themselves instead of God, the devil gains ground. Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
Proverbs 16:18. Lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.
1 Timothy 3:6.
Humility keeps us safe, pride makes us vulnerable.
There’s also the Snare of Sin and Compromise that enslaves gradually. What begins as a small compromise can become a stronghold. As the scripture clearly says “But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed”.
James 1:14–15
Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.
John 8:34
The devil traps people by convincing them that compromise has no consequences.
The Snare of fear and discouragement weakens faith and discouragement drains spiritual strength.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind 2Timothy 1:7
Why are you cast down, O my soul? Hope in God.
Psalm 42:11
Fear is a snare, but faith is an escape.
Glory to God who never leaves His people trapped. There is always a way of escape. Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7
So that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil.
2Timothy 2:26 Child of God “Put on the whole armor of God Ephesians 6:11
Friends the devil’s snare is successful only when believers are unwatchful, prayerless, and disconnected from truth. But through Christ, we have victory, authority, and discernment. The snare is broken, and we have escaped. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!
PRAYER:
Lord, break every chain of sin, secret habit, and compromise in my life. I receive grace to live holy, in Jesus’ name
