Bible verse: That by two immutable things in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation , who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us. Hebrews 6:18
LIFE POINT:
Believers often face seasons where circumstances speak louder than faith. Doubt, delay, and disappointment can shake the heart. But God, knowing our human weakness, gave us something stronger than feelings, unchangeable assurance. That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie.
Firstly, God’s promise His Word cannot fail . God promised Abraham blessings and inheritance. God’s promises are not opinions; they are eternal decrees. Men may promise and fail, but God cannot lie (Numbers 23:19).
Truth is that if God said it, time cannot cancel it. The application rests on the principle that delay is not denial. Waiting does not mean forgotten.
Secondly, God’s Oath by His Word confirmed, He added an oath to His promise, and
He swore by Himself because there is none greater. This shows God’s deep desire to remove all doubt from the believer’s heart. The truth is that God didn’t just promise,He sealed it.
Child of God when faith is weak, rest on God’s oath, not your emotions. It is impossible for God to lie is our strong consolation true trials. Here the phrase “impossible” means absolutely unthinkable.
Our assurance is not based on how we feel, what people say, what circumstances show. It is based on God’s character.
God’s integrity is the foundation of our hope.
Jesus Christ is our anchor and hope that holds.
This is the hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast.
An anchor doesn’t stop storms.. An anchor stops drifting. Jesus is that anchor holding us steady until the promise manifests.
Storms may shake you, but they cannot sink you.
Child of God , when everything else is unstable, remember God promised, God swore and God cannot lie. Therefore, your hope is secure.
Hallelujah to the Lamb of God Amen!
PRAYERS :
Lord, help me to trust Your promise and rest in Your oath. When my faith is tested, anchor my soul in Christ. Let my heart find strong consolation in Your unchanging Word. Amen.
