Bible verse: Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. John 11:14
LIFE POINT:
Beloved brethren, in this passage Jesus spoke a painful fact plainly: “Lazarus is dead.”
Death was the fact. The people saw it. Martha saw it. Mary saw it. The mourners confirmed it. Lazarus had been buried for four days.
But there is something greater than fact , and that is TRUTH.
Facts are temporary realities visible to man.
Truth is the eternal Word and power of God.
The fact said, Lazarus is dead. The stone is sealed.
The body is decaying and Hope is over.
But the truth said, “I am the resurrection, and the life.” John 11:25
And when Truth arrived at Bethany, the fact of death disappeared.
Child of God ! Facts Speak to the Natural Man, But Truth Speaks to Destiny!
The disciples heard the fact of death, but Jesus already knew the truth of resurrection.
Many people today are surrounded by facts. The doctor says the sickness is terminal. The bank account is empty. The marriage is broken. The business has collapsed. The opportunity is gone.
These may be facts, but they are not final when God speaks truth. The Word of God overrides visible conditions.
Romans 4:17 says, “God calleth those things which be not as though they were.”
God does not consult facts before declaring truth. Truth May Delay, But It Never Fails.
Jesus intentionally delayed before going to Lazarus.
To human understanding, it seemed too late.
Sometimes God allows situations to reach impossible stages so His glory can be revealed beyond doubt.
When Jesus arrived. The funeral had already happened. Tears had already been shed. The grave had already been closed.
Yet one word from Jesus changed everything. “Lazarus, come forth!”
And the dead man walked out alive.
One encounter with divine truth can reverse years of pain. Every Grave Must Open When Truth Appears
The grave represents limitation, bondage, defeat, and hopelessness.
But hear this clearly. Truth is stronger than the grave.
Truth is stronger than fear.
Truth is stronger than failure. Truth is stronger than death.
When Jesus appeared. Death lost its hold. Darkness lost its victory.
Mourning turned to celebration.
Child of God ! Whatever has been buried in your life can rise again when the Truth of God appears.
Jesus Himself Is the Truth.
Jesus did not merely speak truth He IS Truth.
In John 14:6 He declared:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
Where Jesus is present. Lies cannot remain. Bondage cannot remain. Fear cannot remain. Spiritual death cannot remain. The appearance of Christ changes impossible situations.
Yes, Lazarus was dead that was the fact. But resurrection was coming that was the truth.
The fact may say, It is over. Nothing can change. You are finished. But truth says
God still has the final word. Your story is not over. Resurrection power still exists.
When truth appears, facts vanish away.
Hallelujah to the Lamb of God amen.
PRAYERS:
Father, every negative fact speaking against my life, let Your truth overturn it in Jesus’ name.
O Lord, every dead situation in my life, hear the voice of resurrection and come alive again.
Every grave of limitation assigned against my destiny, break open by the power of Christ.
Lord Jesus, let Your truth shine in every dark area of my life.
Father, wherever men have concluded concerning me, arise and reveal Your glory.
May the God of resurrection turn every impossible situation around for my good, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
