WHERE TO TURN IN TIMES OF NEED | WORDS OF WISDOM WITH PASTOR MESO DICKSON

post-title

Bible Verse : God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

LIFE  POINT:

Beloved brethren, every human being no matter how strong, wealthy, or spiritual will face times of need. These moments may come as sickness, financial pressure, family crises, confusion, fear, disappointment, or spiritual dryness. The question is not if trouble will come, but where will you turn when it does?

Many people turn to money, connections, substances, human wisdom, or even despair. But the Word of God gives us a clear direction , turn to the Lord.

Turn to GOD first , not last.

In times of need, many people treat God as a last option, after everything else has failed. But Scripture teaches us to turn to Him first. The Bible says  “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”

Psalm 50:15

God is not distant in your crisis. He is not confused by your situation. He is a present help, meaning He is available now, not later.

When you turn to God. You find peace in chaos, You find direction in confusion, You find strength when yours is gone.

Turn to  GOD  in  prayer and trust.

Prayer is not just talking  it is placing your burden into God’s hands. “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you.” Psalm 55:22.

Prayer does not always change the situation immediately,  but it changes you, strengthens you, and aligns you with God’s will. When you pray, trust that God hears you and is working  even when you cannot see it.

Faith means believing before the answer comes.

Turn to  GOD’S WORD for direction.

In times of need, emotions can mislead us, but God’s Word never fails. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105

The Word of God gives wisdom when decisions are hard, gives hope when the future looks dark, gives truth when lies try to overwhelm you.

Instead of listening to fear, listen to Scripture. Instead of feeding anxiety, feed your faith.

Turn to GOD’S  people, not isolation.

God often helps us through people , the church, godly counsel, and fellow believers. “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

Galatians 6:2

Child of God  do not isolate yourself in your time of need. There is strength in fellowship, encouragement in community, and healing in shared faith.

Turn  to GOD  with hope, not despair. No matter how deep the trouble, God’s help is greater. “Those who hope in the Lord shall renew their strength.” Isaiah 40:31.

Your situation may look impossible, but God specializes in impossibilities. What breaks others will build you when you trust the Lord.

Beloved, when trouble comes, do not turn to fear, do not turn to sin,  do not turn to hopelessness.

Turn to God. He is your refuge. He is your strength.

He is your present help. “The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.” Psalm 145:18.

Child of God as you turn to God first in the journey of this year 2026 you will experience the power of God in your life doing great things.  Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!

PRAYER :

Heavenly Father, I acknowledge You as my refuge and strength. In my times of need, help me to turn to You with faith, trust, and obedience. Renew my strength, guide my steps, and let Your presence bring peace to my heart. In Jesus’ mighty name . Amen
