Word of Wisdom: But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
Life Point: Living by Faith Not Works
The scripture above makes it clear that without faith, we cannot please God. No matter how many good works we do, if they are done only to earn His favor, they will not please Him.
Whatever we do for God should flow out of love for Him not as a transaction to get something in return.
Our Almighty God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. I rejoiced when I realized this truth! Though I have made many mistakes in the past, I know I have sincerely sought the Lord with all my heart. That qualifies me for His rewards.
Years ago, when I came to this revelation, I decided that even though I didn’t deserve them, I would still receive every blessing God chose to give me. I encourage you to do the same do not hinder God’s blessings in your life through self condemnation or a “holier-than-thou” mindset.
Prayers:
1. O Lord, increase my faith.
2. Lord, grant me the grace to live with childlike trust in Jesus.
3. My life is God’s project, I will not fail, in Jesus’ name.
